I would like to register my strong protest against the unfair industrial laws applying in the building and construction industry which:

  • Deny employees in that industry basic democratic and work rights
  • Undermine the safety and conditions of the thousands of hard-working Australians in the industry
  • Has made workers the target of court prosecutions, fines and jailing by the politically motivated office of the
  • Australian Building and Construction Commissioner
  • puts ordinary workers like Ark Tribe on trial, charged with not attending an ABCC interview

We want the Parliament to

  • Immediately repeal the Building and Construction Industry Improvement Act 2005 (Cth),
  • Abolish the ABCC; and
  • To enact fair and just legislation that also ensures that construction workers have the same rights and are subject to the same industrial laws as every other Australian worker.
  • And ensure that workers like Ark Tribe are never put on trial for standing up for their rights in site.

Sign the Don't Jail Ark Petition

On Monday 13 September Ark Tribe will go before the court for the final day of his hearing

He faces a possible six months in prison. Charged with refusing to attend an ABCC interview.

"I never thought I'd see the day when hard working Australians would face jail for sticking up for their rights." Ark Tribe
